Tailings Filtration in Brazil: Diemme Filtration’s Solution

We’re proud to share our contribution to a major mining project in Minas Gerais, Brazil – a key region for iron ore production. With an investment of US$ 350 million to expand production capacity, the mine required an efficient tailings filtration solution as the dam reached its maximum storage capacity.
Diemme Filtration provided a customized technical solution that ensured optimal filtration performance. The project involved the supply of 4 GHT 2500 F26 filterpresses with supporting accessories and equipment.

Expected Key Results:
– Processing capacity of 672 tonnes per hour of dry solids
– Filtered cake with up to 15% moisture
– Compliance with geotechnical moisture standards for safe stacking
– High productivity combined with mechanical reliability

This video shows the final stage of the installation process – another important milestone for Diemme in Brazil, which boasts an installed base of nearly 40 filter presses. A source of pride that rewards the commitment of our local team based in Nova Lima, who consistently support customers throughout the region.
