The first steps of the GHT5000F Domino

The world’s largest existing filter press, the GHT5000F Domino, is ready for a new challenge in tailings handling!

In recent weeks, the Diemme Filtration plant, installed at the Toquepala mine site to handle tailings from the historic copper mine in the heart of the Andes, has gone into full operation. A total of 71 m3 in terms of filtration volume and 2,850 m2 of total surface area can be achieved by Domino. The daily capacity at the site is expected to treat about 8,000 tpd of tailings, with a positive impact on the environment that will increase water recovery and reduce risks through more effective tailings management.

The installed filtration plant is equipped with Aida, Diemme Filtration’s system tutor that monitors plant activities at all times for the best performance of the production site.

We are pleased to share the video of Domino’s first steps in Diemme Academy.
